Pleasant Valley, AL – Surging Pleasant Valley takes Class 2A and Area 10 title. Donoho was the runner-up and is advancing to this week’s North Regional. Ohatchee, Piedmont advance to 3A, Area 10. Munford wins 4A, Area 8, Talladega runner up.

Pleasant Valley’s run in the final stretch of the season continued into Tuesday’s Class 2A Area 10 tournament.

Raiders (33-12) Raiders (33-12) defeated Ranburne 25-8 25, 12-25, 25-10, to advance to the final. They defeated Donoho 25-17,18-25 25, 9, 25-20.

Donoho defeated Woodland 25-8 25, 12-25, 25-15 in the first round match.

Pleasant Valley and Donoho advanced to the next round of North Regional. They are the Raiders had won thirteen games in consecutive matches since the start in the Calhoun County competition.

OHACHEE:The host Indians emerged triumphant in the class of 3A Area 10 by sweeping the second-place Piedmont in the process. The Bulldogs defeated Weaver by five sets. Ohatchee as well as Piedmont advance to regional competition.

MNFORDThe hosting Lions triumphed in the 3-team LASP 4A Area 8 tournament winning against Talladega 25-18 with a 25-8, 25-13 win during the championship. Talladega began with an 11-25, 25-18, 25-18 winning 17-25, 15-9 against Handley.

Munford and Talladega progress into next week’s regional.
