Calhoun County, AL – Alexandria’s boys take home a third straight championship in a fight with Weaver. The girls of Weaver are dominant in their first county girls’ tournament.

White PLAINSAlexandria’s boys captured three consecutive Calhoun County wrestling titles with the most minuscule of margins Wednesday. Weaver’s girls set records by winning the championship to be the county’s first girls’ champions. This report will be updated soon. Below are the latest information of the date, as well as results from the boys and girls’ finals, as well as team scores.

Tournament updates

Boys are heading to championship semifinals and consolation games The championship semifinals are underway, with Weaver leading the champions of their title Alexandria 47-46. Girls are headed to the finals and finals for consoles, with Weaver in the lead over Piedmont 80-42.

Girls on pause while boys go through the championship semi-finals as well as consos. Alexandria is ahead of Weaver 78.5-75.

Here is Weaver yet again, and this time he’s in the midst of a loss 118.5-117 after the semifinals won by Dashawn Barnes (152), Caden Thornton (159).

The Weaver boys are ahead 131-121.5 over Alexandria. Christopher Thornton (167) reaches the finals after an Oxford pin Jeremiah Edwards.

In terms of girl’s squad, Weaver leads Piedmont 80-42 and Weaver is home to Ariel Sargent (102), Kynlee Fulmer (109), Jaylee Carter (116), Ali Anderson (122), Mariah Johannson (128), Kallie Mayfield (134), Lena Johannson (140), Jaylyn Medley (154) as well as Baleigh Brown (187) in the finals.

The boys of Alexandria now lead Weaver 145.5-131 following Damarkus Williams (192) makes it to the finals.

Weaver’s Brandon Jolliff and Alexandria’s Dean Boxley through to the 217 final. Alexandria leads 145.4-144.
