Calhoun County, AL Calhoun County, AlabamaWhen Calhoun Journal was created, Calhoun Journal started it was driven by a desire to establish an online platform in which readers could learn the happenings around their own home. The Journal was created to be a resource for free and will remain that way for the foreseeable future. In less than two years since the Journal’s launch, readers are now over 60,000 a week. One of the most rewarding aspects of the Journal has been working on local authors who want to be part of their local community. Collaborations have been productive with other news outlets too, which have enriched the content. In this context it is our intention that Calhoun Journal would like to announce that the Calhoun Journal would like to publicly announce our latest cooperation in partnership with Calhoun County Mom.
Calhoun County Mom Calhoun County Mom (CCM) was the concept of Lauryn Moore, and is backed by Brittany Pinkard. The idea for CCM began with an in-spiritual desire from Lauryn Moore, which came to realization in 2023. It was result of a desire for a platform where mothers could access all activities and events for children and their families in the region. Soon after CCM became a household name, Lauryn reached out to Brittany Pinkard to partner with her in taking on the vision together. They became not just entrepreneurs, co-creators and the jolly people of Calhoun County Mom, but they became close friends and a part of their village together the community they work to build daily inside Calhoun County Mom. Lauryn declared, “We support our communities and believe in their development. We at CCM our goal is to connect our village and to support the community and assist your family in finding new adventures and create memories.”
Both groups wanted to be an information source that was free for residents from Calhoun County so it seemed to be a perfect match. Lauryn said, “When Lee offered us the chance to work together in partnership with Calhoun Journal we jumped at the opportunity. It’s an enormous step towards the incredible expansion we’ve in mind for CCM. We’re hoping to expand our reach and offer a more efficient process for families to be involved in their local communities and benefit from all the events and local businesses that our region offers. We can’t think of an even better match! Calhoun County Mom is stepping into the partnership with overwhelming happiness and joy in being member in our Calhoun Journal family. We’re committed to providing benefits not just to Calhoun County Moms, but to Calhoun Journal readers as well. We are looking forward to using this tool to build an even deeper connection with the Calhoun County community. ”
CCM is now a separate section within the Journal. The style and look will differ, however readers will find many similar elements. Events listed by CCM will also appear included on the main local events page, however they’ll be targeted for families children moms, teens, and parents. There will be stories written by CCM which are unique to them, however occasionally, the articles may appear on our main Journal page, like an article that puts a focus on the Weaver’s Elwell Park. The CCM site is expected to grow to add more features in the coming months, so make sure to keep checking regularly. Whatever page visitors are currently on, there are always links that lead through other pages of the Journal. Journal as well as CCM. Both CCM as well as the Journal hope that the readers of both will benefit from this online resource to learn about how to love, appreciate, and experience the many things Calhoun County has to offer!
