Piedmont, AL – Come to Piedmont for vintage cars, trucks, motorcycles, and souped-up off-road vehicles. Plan to visit the free Cinco of Mayo car show in the city center Piedmont on the weekend of May 6th between 10 AM to 3 PM.
In the spirit that is the responsibility of Piedmont Arts & Entertainment Committee (PAEC), “Building community through the development of culture and art that enrich and delight Piedmont,” the PAEC determined to organize a traditional cultural event that is not held in towns. With this in mind this year, it was decided that the Piedmont Arts & Entertainment Committee have partnered in conjunction with City of Piedmont and the Piedmont Throttle Kings to hold an event for cars that is free in downtown Piedmont this is the first time it has been ever seen in this location for quite some time. To make it more inclusive for the Mexican-Americans within our community The theme was chosen as Cinco de Mayo which will be held on Saturday on May 6th, between 10 AM and 3 pm near the corner between E Ladiga Street and S Center Avenue.
Parking for attendees will be provided in large parking spaces behind Ladiga Fitness
and and Piedmont DAV downtown. The event will feature around 150 vehicles, trucks motorcycles, off-road vehicles for anyone who loves classic vehicles. Rudy’s Food Truck (@rudys_est2020 on Instagram) will be serving authentic Mexican street-style tacos as well as antoitos to guests who want to mark the event. There will also be prizes.
