- Danielle Chasse, EMA Manager Director Chamblee explained that Ms. Chasse was nominated for Rookie of the Year. This was a prestigious award that was compared to all counties in Alabama. The judge also wanted highlight forget how important she has been in the EMA since joining them in 2021. She has worked on COVID. COVID Pandemic as well has the tornadoes that struck Ohatchee.

- Jakob Williamson with the Chamber of Commerce expressed gratitude to everyone who attending at the State of the Cities. .
- Audrey Maxwell with the Chamber of Commerce talked about the multitude of occasions that are scheduled in the months of June and July. She was also excited to hear about the game that will be the opener at the Oxford’s Smash it Sport’s schedule. The fast pitch professional team who will play its very first in their home stadium. She also talked about the work underway to assist local entertainment venues, hotels and eateries all collaborate to help the those living within Calhoun County and visitors. The reporter also pointed out that there are several coming July 4th activities.
- The representatives of the Agency for Substance Abuse Prevention were in attendance to discuss the forthcoming summer schedule and back-to-school events.
- Chairperson Fred Wilson mentioned the Calhoun County Job Fair scheduled to be held on June 30th.
- The Commissioners wanted to acknowledge Mark Tyler, Melissa Wood as well as Gloria Floyd for working together as a team to source more funds to ensure Anniston EMS and Piedmont EMS will have greater access to offering emergency medical transport services in the non-incorporated Calhoun County area. They acknowledged that this wasn’t a solution to all issues however it was a significant step in the right direction. they hoped that additional funding would be available in the near future to further assist in this particular area.
