Users of the city of Oxford’s Meta (aka Facebook) page received a shock when they heard notifications on Friday night, revealing the page’s name changed to “Hadley Julia.”
Despite the strange name switch however, all of the city’s essential details remain inside the “about” section, which includes the city’s address and general information. However, an interesting twist is revealed from the locations of the page manager that now extend across Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, as well as other countries. If you’re not already convinced the content that is being shared has a controversial tone including intimate images of couples, which leave many offended.
City officials have been in contact with Meta in a desperate effort to stop the brazen hacking efforts. City officials have said they were overwhelmed by the outpouring of support of the public. The city officials also expressed their regrets for the post and the nature of the information which was shared.
