Flood Watch for Calhoun County

Calhoun County (AL) – According to the Calhoun County Emergency Management Agency, (EMA), Calhoun County is under Flood Watch until Thursday at 12:00 AM. These times are subject to change.

Later tonight, a storm system from the west is expected to enter the area and continue to affect the area until Thursday morning. On Wednesday and Wednesday night, gusty winds of up to 35 mph are possible. Flash flooding is possible north and along Interstate 20 between midnight tonight and 12 a.m. on Thursday.

When: Today at 6 p.m. to Thursday at 12 a.m.

Threats: Wind gusts of up to 35 mph

This area receives rainfall estimates up to 2”

Flooding may occur when heavy rainfall is concentrated along the I-20 corridor.
