Jacksonville, AL –What was an unending obsession of Brian Harmon has naturally evolved into a profession for this father of two who is at home and has a passion for filming aircrafts.

Harmon since the time he could remember was always looking at the sky. He would make a point to add an airport Helipad when he went on a trip, when he was aware of one close enough to the displeasure of his spouse and children.

If he happened to be lucky to see a plane park then he’d snap a photo of it. If you saw a helicopter poised to depart, he’d stop and record the moment. The footage and pictures remained in a photo archive on his smartphone for a long time.

This was until his son suggested he upload the videos on YouTube to test the waters. Since he had nothing at stake,, he began to post what he had with the title Aviate Alabama. He began in September and by April had accumulated more than 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 view hours of content that was monetized through YouTube.

Harmon was looking for to create Aviate Alabama to display every unique aircraft that Alabama has seen, whether it’s the doomsday aircraft hovering over Jacksonville during nuclear activities within Global Thunder to the submarine hunter P-8 Poseidons are practicing touch and go in Birmingham Shuttlesworth International Airport..

Now Harmon has achieved viral fame through filming Michael Jordan’s Gulfstream jet landing in Talladega to Chase Elliot piloting a helicopter from the field at JSU. Harmon’s videos even prompted several news articles about the jets that he’s shot.

Pilots have been in contact with Harmon at airports who recognize his work and asked to request that the plane they’re flying be uploaded to his channel which he is always eager to.

Harmon likes to keep his eye on the aircraft and not on the celebrity or the executives aboard. His approach has brought him fame to numerous airport managements who provide him with access to spots that are not usually accessible to the public.
