Jacksonville, AL –University Police Chief Michael Barton, put out an alert to the public about that there will be a temporary sidewalk and road closure for Forney Avenue Northwest starting from Mountain Street NW to Cole Drive NW beginning on June 5th, Monday and lasting until the 11th of June on a Sunday. The routes for detours will be clearly indicated with signage. Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance.
JSU‘s continuous campus renovations will continue to affect traffic and parking in along the campus and in its surrounding. With numerous conferences and camps scheduled during the Summer months and also Gamecock orientation which begins on June 6 it is essential that all members of our campus family to be aware of the areas affected and be aware of pedestrian and motorist security!
To ensure the safety of all it is vital to make sure that the vehicles that are parked legally. Every motorist should avoid parking in yellow curbs, designated zones, and other non-defined parking zones.
