Jacksonville, AL –For all Gamecocks JSU invites those who are interested in meeting the newly appointed head coach of baseball, Steve Bieser. The Office of University Development will host a meet and meet and greet and meet Coach Bieser at All Steak Restaurant in Cullman, Alabama on August 17th, at 6:00 pm. Food and drinks will be served.
The third Head coach of baseball since 1970, Coach Steve Bieser will lead the Gamecocks into Conference USA. He has had a good amount of success as a coach, following his professional career of 13 years as an athlete. Bieser joins the Gamecocks after a period of seven years being the coach of Missouri following an eight-year tenure being the coach of his former school of Southeast Missouri State that saw him win three straight Ohio Valley Conference titles with the Redhawks. In 11 years in his position as Division I head coach he has posted a record of 326-252-1 as well as being named one of the OVC coach of the year two times. He was part of six different MLB teams, which included one season in the Major League level and more than eight years in AAA. Bieser takes over from long-time director of the team Jim Case, who recently announced his retirement following 22 years with his Jax State program.
