Jacksonville, AL –Per the Director of Strategic Communications for JSU, Buffy Lockette, JSU shared that US News & World Report published its annual ranking on the Best Colleges this week and Jacksonville State has made a significant leap in its ranking – climbing 10 places to No. 64 in the Best Regional universities within the South.
The 2024 issue of Best Colleges published on September. 18. JSU was ranked alongside four peer institutions to take the top. 64 position: Bryan College, Coker University, Columbus State University and Spalding University. The school also made a comeback within the Top Public Schools in the South and tied with Columbus State for No. 30 in the list of public Southern universities rising four spots from 2022.
“We are thrilled to observe Jacksonville State continue to climb in the rankings, since it is a testament to the dedication our staff and faculty have put into advancing the school,” said President Don C. JSU was again praised as a Top Performer in Social Mobility and tied with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as the number. 98 among all universities and colleges within the US. Social mobility is the proportion of students who are economically marginalized capable of advancing through enrollment and graduation from college.
The school’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing was nationally ranked, with the program tying for the top spot at. 402 among all nursing programs offered in the US which is up from the number of. 413 by 2022. This year, the school’s Master of Science in Nursing program ranked the top spot at. 167 in the country, while the Doctor of Nursing Practice program placed at No. 153. The Master of Science in Nursing was also ranked at the No. 141 in the list of Top Online Programs in the US.
Other highly rated JSU master’s programs are The Master of Science in Criminal Justice that is which is ranked as No. 59 in the list of Best Online Programs; the Master of Social Work Program that is tied for No. at 196 across the country and the Master of Public Administration, placed at no. 182 across the US.
