Basketball teams at colleges don’t have huge rosters, and rarely sign huge groups, or even several players that basically fit the same description. However, a couple such as Jacksonville twins Caden and Camren Johnson isn’t seen often. “They’re highly talented,” Jacksonville coach Tres Buzan told reporters. “If you spoke to college coaches I told them that I’ve six-foot, 6-foot combo guards who can shoot, and then get it on the ground and defend I’m sure they’re trying to sign players similar to that every day.”

Caden And Cam Johnson helped Jacksonville win two consecutive state basketball championships and are hoping to enjoy another successful two years playing together in Shelton State Community College. The twins who are 6 feet 5 inches wingsmen were honored for their signings on Tuesday at the Jacksonville library at school. They announced their signings on social media on February. 26. Caden Johnson averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounding this season. He recorded 11 blocks and 44 steals. Cam Johnson contributed 13.4 points and 4.2 rebound by grabbing 44 steals and eight blocks. Both scored over 1,000 points during the final season of their High School careers.

They met via The Jacksonville feeder system, and they played together from the age of 5. Of course, they would like to play together at college. “We weren’t sure if we’d be able to attend the same college however, we’ve always wanted to be together and travel to the same place together,” Caden Johnson said. “It is a great feeling to know I have my twin alongside me, whom I’ve played with all my existence.” Their recruiting picked up after Jacksonville participated at the Huntsville City Classic in December, Buzan said, and they received a plethora of opportunities to play together. They claimed they picked Shelton over the offers that came from Snead State, Gadsden State, Calhoun and Bishop State. Each of these schools had both players. They also had a variety of players. find more sports news stories…]
