Jacksonville, AL –The City of Jacksonville is hosting the annual fireworks show known as JaxFest. JaxFest is an annual Independence Day celebration is set on July 3 at 6 p.m., followed by the fireworks finale scheduled for 9 at night. There’s plenty happening including live entertainment along with delicious food and the Free Kids Zone.

PARKING The most recommended and favored parking spots are located on EaglePoint Church and the Mediplex both of which were graciously volunteered by property owners to provide general parking. If you’re going to see the shops and at the Kids Zone, these are excellent parking spots. Be sure to avoid parking near roads or private residences. Be sure to make enough space to accommodate emergency vehicles. If you are able, carpool. Parking for handicapped persons is available in the Public Safety Complex lot. It is required to have an handicap plate or placard to park in the parking lot.
RESTROOMS

The Public Safety Complex and at EaglePoint will provide restrooms for public use throughout Jax Fest.
SAFETY and PETS

Personal fireworks are not permitted (please let all demolition work to experts). Pets must be kept on leash all the time to be able to stay in the loud environment. The owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Prepare for a hot summer evening. wear comfortable, light clothing and bring or purchase ample water in order to keep well-hydrated.
Food and VENDORS

Vendors and food trucks stand-ups will be set up on Second Avenue SW between George Douthit Drive SW and Branscomb Drive SW. This stretch of the road is closed to vehicular traffic.

KIDZ ZONE

Jacksonville Parks & Recreation is providing the largest Kids Zone ever filled with plenty to do. The zone will open at 6pm during Jax Fest, and most activities will be offered until just before the fireworks show starts at 9 midnight. The entire event is completely free!
The features include:
Bounce house, inflatable slide

– Foam party

– Petting zoo

Face painting

– Putt-putt minigolf

The tossing of baseball and football games

Entertainment

The city is home to many spectacular performers who will be performing shows prior to the fireworks. Check out the schedule below:

6 p.m. 6 p.m. New Level Pro Wrestling (at the southwest corner of the Pond)

7 p.m. 7 p.m. PARRIS rock stars

9. p.m. -9 p.m. – Fireworks to end the evening
ROAD CROSSINGS

Certain areas that are located between Second Avenue SW and Branscomb Drive SW will be closed to vehicular traffic starting in the early afternoon Monday until the conclusion in Jax Fest. It is the Public Safety Complex parking lot is accessible only from George Douthit Drive SW.
