Anniston, AL –On the 5th of July, on Wednesday between 10:00 am and 11:00 am, you can join Alabama Cooperative Extension Agent, Tammy Hall each Wednesday for Learn and Grow, Eat and go! Learn and Grow, Eat and Go! (LGEG) is a research-based, evidence-based curriculum for The Junior Master Gardener Program. It blends academic success and gardening with nutrient-rich activities, food experiences as well as family involvement. This set of practical and tested lessons will assist students in understanding plants and the benefits they can meet the needs of people. The curriculum features opportunities for the students to participate in fresh vegetable tastings/evaluations, simple recipe demos, and physical activities that research shows can improve on-task behavior and academic performance. This program is designed specifically for students who are in the 3rd to 5th grade. students. Pre-registration recommended.
