A letter to the editor

Mike Rogers, the weather-vane politician and 3rd District representative from Alabama, showed his true colors at the House floor. Although he was passionate, it wasn’t about being open and supporting positions that would benefit the average citizen. It was about protecting his position in Congress. Hmmm. As someone who regards George Washington and other framers as true heroes and true patriots I don’t believe they imagined our Congress being manned by a privileged group of professional politicians, protected by a huge war chest of campaign funds that keeps almost all challenges from his chair for as long he wants.

Rogers was so upset about what caused the embarrassing display on Congress’s floor where he objected to Matt Gaetz and Loren Böbert exercising their rights to vote and supporting the rights of all freedom-loving Americans. Rogers was so offended by their demands.

1. The “holdouts”, however, demanded that Term Limits be voted on. This would be a sand creature’s objection! It would be absurd to claim that Alabama or any other state must protect corrupt professional politicians’ right to stay in office for ever. For the vast majority of these professional politicians, the longer they stay in office, the more they are held responsible for large monied special interests who lavishly shower money over them like a tidal stream.

2. The “holdouts” demanded that Congress present bills only on one subject. No more omnibus bills. Why would anyone object to omnibus legislations like ObamaCare? Nancy Pelosi said, “We must pass this bill so that we can see its contents”, or bills such as the 1.7 trillion Omnibus Bill that was just passed and which some estimate contains 550 billion in utter waste. The Swamp uses Omnibus Bills to pass laws that allow them to hide fraud and waste that we, as Americans, must pay. This concession may be the most important.

3. If Kevin McCarthy fails to fulfill his promise to do what he said, only one congressperson will be able to move to remove him. This is called the Jeffersonian Motion…this refers to Thomas Jefferson, author of our Declaration of Independence, and third President of the United States. McCarthy turned on MAGA supporters, railing against the January 6 uprising, and turning on Trump (despite 45s support for McCarthy, which is confusing). January 6 was not an uprising, but a protest against very questionable electoral procedures and outcomes. 4 people were killed that day, and no police officers were hurt. Ray Epps was allegedly involved in the “assault on the Capitol” in which police opened their doors and allowed protestors to enter. He has yet to be arrested or prosecuted. Epps may have been one of several hired “orchestrators” who worked on January 6. One agreement was a committee of “Church” type that looked into the weaponization by the FBI and other acronyms within the Federal Government against Americans.

4. Along with their funding, the fraudulent COVID mandates must be stopped. Fauci and other conspirators orchestrated the “plandemic”, which has led to the deaths of millions across the globe.

5. The insistence was that Budget bills would stop the constant increase in the debt ceiling.

Other concessions were also made. Even if they weren’t, the above are sufficient to support the noble efforts of the “holdouts”.

Many of these would be a threat to an established ranking member of Armed Services Committee, who, by all appearances, is more supportive for the integrity of Ukraine’s border, a country that is not an ally of the US than our own borders.

Progressive democrats and liberal media cronies have called the “holdouts’ spectacle chaos and embarrassing. I salute them, and would like to ask Mike Rogers: Who the hell is it that insists on your way over theirs? When we go to the polling booth, each of us votes for our conscience. What’s the difference between what they did and what they did? They were willing to make concessions for a fake republican from California. Hooray!
