The film, appropriately titled “Tanner and Jean save the day” promises to enliven the area with humour and charm as well as some snarkiness.
The film, classified as a comedy mockumentary is set to tell an unforgettable story. The script is: “Two wannabe detectives chase conspiracy theories instead of renting, and their inexperience gets them into more troubles than they anticipated.”
The story’s core is the zany couple that is Tanner and Jean who even though they do not have a steady job or notable academic achievements they find their passion in investigation of paranormal events. The sister of Jean threatens remove the two if they do not find employment, Tanner and Jean, in their unique ways believe that a secret message from the police force in the area is calling them to unravel the mystery of townspeople disappearing which they’ve come to refer to by calling it “The Vanishing Act.”

Butler Fuqua, the creative driving force behind the film is no stranger to Calhoun County. A native of Ohatchee, Butler is a Marine Corps Veteran with a diverse background in bodybuilding Animation, Software Engineering and, most recently filmmaking. Through “Tanner and Jean Save The Day” Butler hopes to serve his community and highlight the talents of the area.
Although the principal roles have been assigned, the film provides multiple opportunities to Calhoun County residents to be involved in this film adventure. Butler Fuqua’s goal is to engage the community by forming local groups, like the community theatre, groups of improv and even schools.
