Viera, FL – Ford pitches a four-hit shutout in addition, USSSA Pride ends Smash It Sports Vipers’ winning streak of two games with a 2-0 win to begin the series

Jailyn Ford pitched a complete game four-hit shutout that included eight strikeouts. The USSSA Pride ended the Smash It Sports Vipers’ 2-game winning streak by sweeping them 2-0 in the opener of Sunday’s three-game series.

The Vipers (4-13) received solid pitchers in Amber Fiser and Gianna Mancha. Fiser pitched for the first 3 2/3 inning with six hits and two walks, and two earned runs, with three strikeouts. Mancha was unable to allow runs, hits, or walks in just 2 1/3 innings relief.

Suzy Brookshire Mary Iakopo, Makena Smith and Chelsea Gonzales each had a hit for the Vipers which left seven runners at the plate.
