Piedmont (AL –The Piedmont Police Department has released the following information via their Facebook page: The Piedmont Police Department received an anonymous report that a person had shot into a vehicle occupied by five persons on November 27, 2022. The incident occurred on Nolan Street at 11:00 PM on November 26th 2022. A minor injury was also reported. The vehicle was eventually processed after investigations proved that the offense occurred. Six bullet holes were found in a 2011 Kia Optima. Two more bullet defects were also discovered on nearby buildings. The investigation revealed that the offense began with prank phone calls, and escalated to one party showing up in the area. The investigation was concluded. Kenneth Cole Candelario, age 18, was taken into custody and charged with shooting into an unoccupied vehicle on November 28, 2022. Candelario was taken to Calhoun County Jail November 29, 2022. A bond of $9,000 was set with a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 9, 2023 at 12:30 pm at Calhoun County District Court, Anniston, Alabama.
