Oxford, AL – On the 3rd of April, 2023 at around noon at approximately noon, around noon the Oxford Police Department had been sent for the area between AL 21 and Recreation Drive in connection with the possibility of a shooting. At the scene, officers discovered an individual who was wounded by a gun. Through the investigation, officers discovered that two drivers of separate vehicles became angry with one another after they both chose to leave their vehicles and fight. Oxford Police Chief, Bill Partridge was advised that during the fight, the suspect used a weapon and shot the victim a couple of times before the victim was found dead on the scene.
Chief Partridge informed that no names have been disclosed at the moment However, the suspect is being questioned by police. Chief Partridge further stated that the area is and active as a crime scene and suggested that everyone stay away from the area.
