Oxford, AL –On the 10th of September, on a Sunday at 7:15 pm, the famous Sun Record label that brought you Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Rufus Thomas, and many more rocking pioneers, will be performed in concert at the Oxford Performing Arts Center. Relive the glorious recording studio in which the distinctive sound we enjoy today was created from gospel blues, acoustic, hillbilly boogie, country, and western swing, all created by musical genius Sam Phillips. His pioneering Memphis studio gave us That’s All Right, Great Balls of Fire, I Walk the Line, Whole Lotta Shakin’, Bear Cat, Blue Suede Shoes, Good Rocking Tonight hundreds of hits that would change the music world for many generations to come.
