Anniston, AL – According to the Anniston Police Department on June 19 2023, Anniston Patrol officers responded to a shooting incident in the 300 block Elm Street. At the scene, officers discovered the body of B/F Jasmine Nicole Whitson (29) who was from Anniston, Alabama, deceased from a gunshot wound.
In the ongoing effort from Anniston Police Investigators, an arrest was completed in the murder of Whitson. 7/05/2023, Marcus Maurice Swink (31) from Anniston, Alabama, was accused of Manslaughter. The maximum amount of his bail is fixed at $100,000.00.
