Anniston, AL –In an attempt to keep the residents of Anniston updated and make sure that there is a smooth flow of traffic in the city, Anniston, AL City of Anniston issues a public notice of closures to streets that will be in place on Thursday, October 26 from 5:00 to 8 at night. The roadblocks will be in place in order to facilitate events like the Carver Community Center’s drive-through Tranquilty event. The location is 780 W. 14th St, Anniston, AL 36201.

It is the Carver Community Center’s drive-through Halloween Trunk-Or-Treat will offer a unique event for people to enjoy Halloween in the safety of their cars. The event is scheduled to run from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and will be accessible to the public via the Carver Center parking lot. Participants will leave the parking area and continue along West 14th Street until reaching the crossroads and Cobb Avenue, at which participants can decide to exit the event by turning either left or right, or going straight ahead along West 14th Street.

To ensure the safety of participants and to ensure the flow of traffic roadblocks will be put in place at a number of crucial intersections beginning at 5:00 pm on October 26th 2023. The roadblocks will remain in place until about 8 pm. The areas that are which are closed for temporary periods comprise:

1. West 14th Street & Mulberry Avenue. 2. West 14th Street & Cooper Avenue

3. West 14th Street & Cobb Avenue

4. West 14th Street & Haven Avenue

5. Haven Avenue & Claxton Street

6. West 12th Street & Haven Avenue

Plan your travel routes in advance and allow additional time for any necessary detours, or delay in those areas within the hours of operation.
