OHACHEE —Zae English ran for 3 touchdowns and 185 yards and Jacksonville defeated Ohatchee 51-6 during a non-regional midseason game at the Creekbank.

English’s touchdown runs spanned 49 nine and 61 yards.

Jacksonville (5-1) received the usual output in the air. Jim Ogle completed 18 of 22 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns.

Ky’dric Fischer had an all-time high of 140 yards from eight catches. He scored touchdown receptions of 8 and 40 yards. Damonte Sinclair took nine passes for the 73 yards, including a four-yard touchdown catch.

Ohatchee (4-2) scored a touchdown of 80 yards from Jesse Baswell.

Hartselle 22, Oxford 21: Class 6A No. 6 Hartselle recovered from a deficit of 21-7 with two fourth-quarter touchdowns, as well as a two-point conversion, handing No. eight Oxford (5-1) the first loss of the season.

Noah Lee’s scoring pass to Markus Tapscott made it 21-14 as well Ri Fletcher’s touchdown rumble brought Hartselle (5-1) within 21-20 with only 3:52 remaining. A flag for offsides on Oxford reduced the point following touchdown by a mile and a half and Lee ran for the winning two-point conversion.

Oxford took a 21-7 advantage thanks to 2 Mason Mims touchdown passes -the second one – 49 yards for Nick Richardson and one yard to Camare Hampton -and as well as Jaydon Thomas’ two-yard touchdown run.

RAGLAND 39, PLEASANT VALLEY 6,Antwan Byers made two touchdown passes for Brayden Collins, the first right before halftime, and the other to close the third quarter drive that gave Ragland an advantage of 19-6, while it was the Purple Devils (3-3) went into the second period.

Byers The connections made by Byers for Collins include an 11-yard pass to make thirteen-6, with 23.5 seconds remaining in the second half. Collins was able to break wide open to catch a touchdown pass of 21 yards at the end of third quarter.

Ragland also had the score of a touchdown run that was five yards by Aron Lee as well as twenty-five yards by Brett Sisson and three yards from Ethan Courtney.

“We certainly were a lot more athletic at the end of second quarter than in the first half,” Ragland coach Wes Tidwell declared. “You always need to be stronger when you started and I feel like we accomplished this.”

The most memorable moment of the evening to Pleasant Valley (4-1) was a 15-play, 67 yard drive that featured two fourth-down conversions within the 2nd quarter. The game concluded with Braxton Salster’s three-yard touchdown to pull the Raiders within 7-6 at 6 minutes 37 seconds.

The loss at homecoming brought to an end Pleasant Valley’s first start of 4-0 and the longest winning streak in the history of Pleasant Valley. The Raiders had won six games in a row, beginning in the 2022 season.

Pleasant Valley went without seven injured players. Their entire line of defense was lost since their jamboree match in August.

“We have not made any excuse for it,” Pleasant Valley coach Jonathan Nix said. “It’s something that’s one of the situations which every week, an individual player has made an appearance.

“It was really about in the beginning that it was an in-match. We weren’t as physically strong as we would like to be. We’ve got to finish the screen and not mention an issue unless you have solutions. You have to evaluate yourself, with don’t make excuses. You’ve got to do it with the spirit of love. Then, go on to the following week and take the lessons learned from this.”

WEAVER 55 7 ASBURY:Weaver got two punt-return touchdowns as well as a pick-6 in its second win of the season.

The Bearcats (2-4) had punt return touchdowns from KeShawn Allan and Kaden Gooden. Caden Thornton returned an interception for a touchdown.

In a night full of huge play, Junior Allen also has an impressive 65-yard touchdown catch.

The victory ends the streak of four games for Weaver who lost two games with a one-score.

“Asbury is a relatively new program and those coaches are doing an excellent job of what they have,” first-year Weaver coach Ken Cofer said. “I believed that their players played well. We had a lot more boys than they did.

“It was great to earn an outcome after a series of tough, hard-fought games. We’ll be needing the open week this week to heal some minor injuries, and also get players back playing.”

GLENCOE 49 HOLLY POND 18.Led by Aaron Mann with two, the Yellow Jackets (2-3) snapped the skid of three games by scoring five rushing touchdowns on the four players.

Brady Kitchens, Wade Segrest and Seth Jenne each ran for scores.

Kitchens delivered two touchdown through the air at Connor Montgomery, and Montgomery added five more points.

For defense Glencoe received an intercept from Aiden Johnson and long fumble return from Cooper Gomez to set up Jenne’s touchdown.

“We performed well,” Glencoe coach Scott Martin stated. “Holly Pond played in an offensive line that was compressed for the majority of the night, and they beat us by greater than two-to-one. Our defense was active in many snaps. I’m very proud of the effort they put in.”

WELLBORN 40. TALLADEGA 7:Wellborn (3-2) was victorious for the third consecutive game on a night with an unlucky pick-6 and the Panthers typical run of huge runs.

Touchdown runs during the game included Jaxon Newton who ran 53 yards. C.J. Hubbard who ran 34 yards, and Noah Screws from seven. Hubbard also picked up an interception.

Newton was the leader of Wellborn with 80 yards of rushing and Jabari Williams added 65 yards of rushing.

Talladega (0-5) scored a touchdown of 5 yards from X’Zavier Lyles following Wellborn gained a 4-0 advantage.

Central-Clay 48 ALEXANDRIA 13:Damion Cosby rushed for two touchdowns and 126 yards and LaDamion Boyd threw 110 yards and scored a touchdown as the No. 5A team in Class 5A. 3 Central-Clay improved its record to 6-1 against unbeaten Alexandria.

Cosby’s touchdown runs spanned 35 and 25 yards, while Boyd’s touchdown run was 55 yards. Boyd also nabbed the 20-yard touchdown ball to Darren Harris, who had one-yard touchdown runs.

Alexandria quarterback Cole Wheeler had a 1-yard touchdown run and Elijah Hunter had a 5-yard touchdown run. Hunter had 101 yards and 25 runs.

Westbrook CHRISTIAN 56 12.A one week before Steve Smith’s arrival to Piedmont his new team won a game to move to the record of 3-2.

Greyson Carroll threw for two touchdowns, and contributed 101 yards in total. Drew Whitmore rushed for a team-high 95 of the Warriors 319 rushing yards with one touchdown.

Westbrook Christian also scored touchdowns rushing from Maximus Jones and Hunter Arnold. Lamycal Mitchell as well as Cooper Greer each caught a touchdown passing.

Westbrook Christian will return to the Class 3A region 6 competition next week against Piedmont the place which is where Smith was the coach for the last 17 seasons. Smith led his Bulldogs through five state championships.

Handley 42, LANTT 27: Cannon Kyles completed seven of 13 passes to score 228 yards, with two touchdowns as well. Handley (5-1) recovered from the loss last week to Central-Clay.

Kyles completed touchdowns of Daquavian Slougher and 12 yards in the direction of Jamarcus Daniel.

Rinza Winston was the top player for the Tigers with the most yards rushing, 106. E.J. Goss 64 yards of rushing included touchdown runs of 13 and one yards.
