Jacksonville, AL –On the 15th of September, between 2:00 AM and 4:30 pm JSU will host an open event at The Houston Cole Library or through zoom (link below). This is the return of the Tocqueville Lecture Series. The speakers include Professor Dr. Jane Kamensky (Harvard University, Department of History) and Dr. Paul Caresse (Director of the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership at Arizona State University). Dr. Gross moderating a discussion about free speech as well as American democracy. Also, there will be audience questions. As per Dr. Gross, “This event is intended to show bipartisanship, the connection between higher education and the government and the ways that higher education contributes to the wider community.”
