Oxford, AL –On May 15th, 2013 at 3:00 pm, the Oxford Library will hold its monthly reading group. This month’s selection will be the Mother-In-Law written by Sally Hepworth.

The Book’s Summary As soon as Lucy first met the mother of her husband’s she realized she was not the wife Diana imagined for her son to be. Friendly, courteous and always kind, Diana nonetheless kept Lucy in a distance despite her efforts to convince her. In addition, as a prominent figure of the community and a champion for women who were refugees and as a woman happily married for decades, not person had anything negative to speak of Diana…except Lucy.

Five years ago.

Today, Diana is dead, the suicide note that was found close to her body, claiming she no longer wanted to live due to the cancer that was ravaging her body.

The autopsy however does not find cancer.

It has tracetraces of poison and evidence of the suffocation.

Who would wish Diana to die? What happened to her will at the last minute to disinherit her children and spouses? What does it mean that Lucy isn’t really sad that she’s gone?
