Ali Aguilar’s opening-inning RBI single was the only hit of the game as it was the USSSA Pride edged Oxford’s Smash It Sports Vipers by 1-0 in Women’s Pro Fastpitch on Tuesday.
The Vipers’ Amber Fiser and the Pride’s Ally Carda dominated while pitching complete games. Fiser pitched for six innings and allowed three hits and three walks and three strikeouts. Carda permitted three hits, with seven strikeouts and two walks during seven innings.
Six runners were left by both teams on the field.
Suzy Brookshire Makena Smith as well as Alissa Dalton were responsible for the Vipers”hits.
The Vipers (5-14) continue their road trip with three games game series against The Texas Smoke, starting Thursday.
