Piedmont, AL –Area firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire around 3:10 Saturday morning.
Piedmont teams arrived on the 510 North Centre Avenue in just minutes and started fighting the flames that erupted in a 2-story wooden house, with mutual assistance from The Spring Garden Fire Department. The blaze’s heat was so intense that it put nearby structures in danger also. The spray of water was also used to ensure that all structures around it were in a safe place.
At this point, large flames could be seen – but luckily firefighters were capable of bringing the fire under control swiftly.
