Anniston, AL –In an incident that took place at around 10:00 p.m. at night on Wednesday the 27th of December single-vehicle collision has led to the death of a 24 year old Juan G. Deleon, an Anniston resident. Anniston. The fatal crash occurred after the 2006 Chevrolet Express 2500, driven by Deleon was veered off the road, eventually flipping over during the process.
According to police, Deleon was not wearing his car seat at the time of accident. In the event, Deleon was ejected from his vehicle and was struck by fatal injuries. Tragically, Deleon was pronounced deceased on the spot by emergency personnel.
The accident occurred at Eulaton Road, approximately five miles to the west of Anniston located in Calhoun County. The specific circumstances that led to the crash are currently being investigated by Troopers from AL Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division.
The ALEA has not yet released any additional details at the moment because the investigation is still in progress. The community in the area is struggling grieving the loss of young person’s life and condolences are pouring into the family and loved ones of Juan G. Deleon during this time of sorrow. Authorities are urging anyone with information relating to the accident to provide information to aid in the thorough investigation of the causes behind the tragic crash.
