A “FTA” signifies that a person has failed to show up for a court appearance but does not necessarily mean that they are guilty of a crime. The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind everyone not to make any decisions by themselves, but call authorities such as the Sheriff’s Office or local Police Department to inquire further. Sometimes, warrants may be removed and the individual has been removed from the wanted list.
