Juneau police report that three people have been found deceased on Dusky Rock, a boat which was placed in anchor at Sandy Beach this past week. One body was discovered on Wednesday afternoon. The second two were discovered in the evening of Friday.

In an press release the police stated that there were no immediate indications of any foul play.


Police say that a woman called Wednesday afternoon to inform that she discovered Curtis Edwin Anderson, 51 who was found dead on Dusky Rock.


On Friday, according to the release the man contacted police after he went into Dusky Rock. Dusky Rock to check on the howling of a dog. Two women were discovered in the water dead: A 28 year old woman and a woman aged 34 who was discovered Anderson earlier on the Wednesday.


The police haven’t identified the women however they stated that they are the same Juneau citizens.


According to the press release the release, the boat was tow towards Aurora Harbor, where Capital City Fire and Rescue conducted a thorough inspection of the boat but did not discover any toxic gasses.


The statement stated that the deaths could be linked to use of drugs but didn’t provide specifics. At the time of writing representatives of the fire and police departments were not available to discuss the matter.


The remains of Anderson and two other unknown women will be taken for autopsies by the Alaska Medical Examiner’s Office to be autopsied.
