The highest official of the election in Maine Thursday night disqualified Donald Trump from that state’s primary vote because of his involvement in the January. 6., attack at the U.S. Capitol.

In Anchorage the lawsuit filed in the federal district court seeks to get Trump removed from Alaska’s presidential 2024 election ballot, however, to date, it hasn’t been able to move forward.

Texas Tax advisor John Anthony Castro, a long-shot Republican presidential candidate He has made legal challenges to the president across more than a dozen states including Alaska. Castro declares that Trump is not qualified under his 14th Amendment to the constitution that prohibits those who have fought insurrections towards or against the United States from holding office.

“The issue is how Donald J. Trump provided aid to an insurrection which we know Trump was able to do,” Castro told a reporter in front of an New Hampshire courthouse in October.

The majority of the cases Castro has filed have been dismissed or he has dismissed the cases he filed.

Castro has filed the Alaska lawsuit in the late part of September. According to online reports, Castro hasn’t been legally sent copies of the suit to the defendants who are Trump and Alaska Lieutenant. Governor. Nancy Dahlstrom, who oversees the state’s Division of Elections. Without the legal services required the defendants aren’t required to file a formal response.

Trump insists that he did nothing incorrectly on January. 6th, 2021 when a crowd of his supporters walked out of his event on the White House and stormed the U.S. Capitol, delaying the certifying of his defeat by Joe Biden.

Trump has to contend with more tense 14th Amendment lawsuits in several other states. In Colorado a group named Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has won an appeal to a State Supreme Court ruling disqualifying Trump. In Colorado, the state Republican party has appealed this ruling in the U.S. Supreme Court.
