- “No Longer Very Clare” is an exciting and intimate solo performance of contemporary classical music performed by piano player Phoebe Wu that simultaneously celebrates the origins of our music and the individual creativity of each. The concert highlights the beautiful blurred lines that exist in art, with music from contemporary American composers with diverse backgrounds, as well as pieces composed by Gabriela Lena Frank, Florence Price, Annika Socolofsky, and Lou Harrison. Each work is an amalgamation of influences that don’t just exist, but also thrive and do not compete with each other. This tour was possible due to assistance by The Robert Turnbull Piano Foundation.

Southeast Alaska Independent Living (SAIL) coming gala dinner and auction
- “Unmasking Disability” Gala at SAIL’s “Unmasking disability” gala takes place on October 21st, Saturday at 6 p.m. on Centennial Hall. There will be a silent auction as well as a delicious dessert auction, as well as live auctions that include cruises and travel packages, Alaska Airlines tickets, a private dinner party, as well as an entire year’s worth of Juneau entertainment.
- This is the biggest fundraiser for SAIL of the year. It provides flexible funds to help those with disabilities and seniors in their efforts to be healthy and independent within the settings that is their preference.
