Juneau police have said they received reports on this past Friday that notes contained “a possibility of a general threat against kids.” In an announcement police stated that they found the notes at two locations in downtown Juneau as well as a business, and at an office building. State Office Building.


A photo from one note that was sent to KTOO it was discovered that the message also linked trans identities to schools shootings.


Lt. Krag Campbell said that police are working to determine who put them up.


” style=”font-weight 400 ;”>”We are contacting the company where the initial note was found , to review any security footage that is available,” Campbell said. “We’re speaking to anyone who may have witnessed something and also doing the same thing in the State Office Building .”

Police are seeking fingerprints, or DNA. He hopes the release of the news story will result some information from the public.


Campbell claimed that the police have plans to expand their presence in Juneau schools — even though the press release stated that it was already happening because of recent school shootings in the nation.


“I am aware that that the note specifically mentioned dangers to youngsters,” Campbell said.


Campbell stated that police will be able to consider an officer presence at any activities on Friday that are connected to Transgender Day of Celebration.
