Three soldiers were killed and another was wounded in an air-to-air collision that involved two Army helicopters in Interior Alaska yesterday.

In a 11 11 Airborne Division statement the helicopters located in Fort Wainwright in Fairbanks -was returning from a flight training exercise when they collided in the vicinity of Healy.

The statement states that two soldiers died on the scene, and a third one died while en route towards Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. The person injured in the crash is currently treated in the Fairbanks Hospital. Fairbanks.

The accident will be examined by a team of experts from the Army Combat Readiness Center, located in Alabama. The Army declares it will keep their names for 24 hours after the relatives are informed.
