High-flow experiments in the Grand Canyon aims to help Colorado River

The release of water through Glen Canyon Dam through bypass tubes on the 24th of April, 2023 in a high-flow test. The flood is intended to help move sediment and sand along into the Colorado River the way the river’s natural flow did prior to the building of Glen Canyon Dam.
