High-flow experiments on the Grand Canyon aims to help Colorado River

The water will be released out of Glen Canyon Dam through bypass tubes on 24 April 2023 in a high-flow test. The flood will assist in moving sediment and sand down into the Colorado River the way the natural flow of the river did prior to the construction of Glen Canyon Dam.
