Heather Engle said she entered an indigent detox program individuals over 16 years old. If the center had rejected her because of the lack of room, Engle claimed she “wouldn’t have lasted a week.” She is currently the director of the Las Vegas Rescue Mission–a nonprofit homeless shelter that is located within two city blocks within Downtown Las Vegas.
