In accordance with SB 378, which was enacted during the session and became law earlier in the year, businesses that process payments for homeowners are obliged to have at least $5 million dollars worth of cyber-security insurance “that covers damages arising from or in connection with breaches of data, unauthorised access to the system of information such as ransomware, computer viruses, identity theft and similar risk exposures.”
